Since it is still my first year, I continue to enjoy observing and experiencing for the first time the “Sacred Heart Way.” That is the manner with which students, teachers, and parents here in this community care for and build community.
Welcome to our website!
There are so many reasons to love Country Day School of the Sacred Heart that it’s hard to capture all of it on our website. We hope you will visit campus soon and meet our students and experience firsthand the joy and energy of our community.
We have been educating girls on the Main Line for more than 150 years. Through all of those years, our mission has never wavered. We are dedicated to offering an education that embraces faith, intellectual values, service, community and growth.
Our campus is larger than Bryn Mawr. In fact, as a Sacred Heart school, we are a part of a global network of schools. Be sure to click on the link and read about the Network of Sacred Heart Schools. The Network includes 24 schools in the US and Canada that are linked by mission and history. In 1800, in Amiens, France, a young woman named Madeleine Sophie Barat set about establishing the Society of the Sacred Heart of Jesus - a community of faith filled women who wanted to be about the education of girls. Today our schools are the legacy of that courage and confidence.
As an all-girls school, it is a place where girls find their voice, find their confidence, find friends. Our class sizes are small assuring that each voice is heard, each girl is known.
Enjoy looking through our website. Then give us a call for a campus visit. I look forward to welcoming you to school.

Add to the benefit of an all-girls environment the Sacred Heart Goals and Criteria – and you’ve got an extraordinary school here."
We received a very special email recently from someone we don’t know. I read it on a Sunday and couldn’t wait to get to school on Monday to share it with as many people as possible. It speaks for itself.

Basketball games, guest reading to the Lower School, a Network School visit, Black History Month Assembly, and Sacred Heart Community Retirements announced filled the final days of February.
What a community of school spirit! “Shout her honor to the sky in endless song abounding. Staunch her children and true, avowing their complete allegiance, Rise and proclaim the glorious name of the Sacred Heart.” Go Heart!
It’s been a busy February at Sacred Heart. And it’s only Valentine’s Day! On this Valentine’s Day I wanted to send you a special valentine. Sacred Heart is a beautiful community full of activity, excitement and hard work. Today, I launch my Head of School Post, Town Cryor, as a way to share with you, our wonderful parent community, what I get to experience every day here at Sacred Heart with your daughters. I promise to be brief and to share with you glimpses of our community. I hope you enjoy it!
