The 2013 Spring Crew Season is underway!
March 15, 2013 was the 2013 Spring Regatta Season Kick off Dinner, held at school. The team, coaches and parents gathered to celebrate weeks of practice, many personal records and fabulous new uniforms! The first PSRA Manny Flick of 2013 was held on 17th March, down on the Schuylkill River. There, Coach Kelsey introduced the new Heart Crew line-up, which includes a JV Double, a LTWT Quad and a LTWT Double, in addition to the Novice Quad.

Even better, please join us down at the Sacred Heart tent along the banks of the Schuylkill each regatta Sunday for a great day of racing, food, and family fun! Everyone is very welcome and we encourage our Middle School girls who are interested in rowing to come down to see how much fun we have!

October 21, 2012 Learn to Row with Heart Crew

Thanks to the families who joined us at the Boathouse for a fantastic day on the river. The weather was picture perfect, and we showed all of our potential novice rowers what Sacred Heart Crew is all about. October 6, 2012 Philadelphia International Dragon Boat Festival

Heart Crew and friends rocked the docks at the 2012 Dragon Boat races! A special thanks to Sophomores Julia, Caroline and Sam, and Juniors Anna, Anastasia, Sarah and Lauren who joined Heart Crew on the Schuylkill for this fun event! 2012 Stotesbury Cup Regatta

The Stotesbury Cup Regatta is the oldest and largest high school rowing event of the year. More than 5,000 student rowers from 180 high schools around the nation competed on the 1,500 meter course in front of 15,000 spectators.

Junior Doubles-(Helena Bruschea and Cece Hess)- 6th place

Senior Quad- (Kelsey Williar, Taylor Brady, Alex McNulty, Jordana Cech) - 5th place

For Novice Rowers only

Novice 1x- (Caitie Carroll)- 3rd place
Novice 2x- (Gigi Homan and Elise Brutchea)- 2nd place
Novice Quad (Meg DiStefano, Elle Barton, Lindsay Johnson and Hanna Bushner) 3rd place.

(This year's event included 525 entries from 70 clubs, representing 49 cities and 4 states!)

Novice 2X- (Elise Brutschea and Gigi Homan)- SILVER Medal

Sacred Heart JV4X Earns the Gold Medal at the 2011 Stotesbury Regatta

Sacred Heart launched three boats onto the Schuylkill for the 2011 Stotesbury Regatta and all three boats sailed into the finals with the JV 4X earning the gold medal and bringing hole the Ruth Robinhold Trophy for 2011. The JV 2X with Jordana Cech as stroke and Brona Ranieri as bow, placed third in the semi-finals and advanced to the finals where they finished sixth. The freshman 4X with Helena Brutschea, Sarah Strohman, Anna Brairton, and Cece Hess placed second in the semi-finals and finished fifth in the finals. The JV 4X with Tyler Mitchell, Taylor Brady, Kelsey Williar, and Alex McNulty, as bow, placed first in the semi-finals and advanced to the finals where they finished FIRST, earning the GOLD MEDAL! Their time of 5:02.09 was the second fastest ever for this event.

JV Crew Team Awarded two Silver Medals in 2011 Philadelphia City Championships

At the 2011 Philadelphia City Championships on the Schuylkill River, Sacred Heart's JV 2X with Jordana Cech as stroke and Brona Ranieri as bow and the JV Quad with Tyler Mitchell as stroke, Kelsey Williar, Taylor Brady and Alex McNulty as bow, both finished second, earning SILVER medals.
